Documentation / Connections / Computerized Systems
Media
How computerized system records connect to supporting media in TrialStack.
This is a single-direction media connection. Media items are attached to a computerized system to provide supporting evidence such as validation certificates, screenshots, or vendor documentation.
Why it matters
- validation or system context depends on attached files — certificates, SOPs, vendor docs
- reviewers need supporting media behind a system record before sign-off
- teams need traceable assets linked to the correct system
- disconnecting a media item permanently removes the file link
Connection fields
All entity-to-media connections share the same column layout:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Role | The purpose the file serves for this system — e.g. validation evidence, vendor documentation |
| Tab | Which tab on the system page the file is associated with |
| File Type | The MIME type of the uploaded file |
| Linked | The date the file was attached |
Operations
| Action | Available |
|---|---|
| Connect | Upload or pick a file to attach |
| Disconnect | Remove the link (hard delete of the junction) |
| Reconnect | Not available — disconnect and re-attach instead |
From each side
- Use Computerized Systems for the source record.
- Use Media for linked files and asset metadata.
