Choose a plan by operating capacity

Every paid plan includes TrialStack Studio and a 3-day free trial. The public pricing page and in-app plan chooser show the same operating capacity and enterprise access. Plans scale by active trials, seats, monthly AI tokens, and concurrent AI runs.

One concurrent AI run is one top-level governed background AI workflow while it is executing. Ignite, Accelerate, and Scale can execute 2, 5, and 10 of these workflows at the same time. Trigger child tasks share the parent workflow’s slot.

Queued workflows and workflows waiting for human review do not use a slot. Interactive chat turns and deterministic background work such as imports, exports, projections, or knowledge synchronization also remain outside this allowance. When every slot is busy, TrialStack accepts the request and shows it as Waiting for an AI run slot until execution can start.

Match the plan to the customer and use case

• Ignite: for biotechnology companies and research sites bringing trial design, evidence, documents, and start-up decisions into one governed workflow for a first active trial.
• Accelerate: for CROs and pharmaceutical companies coordinating trial design, evidence, documents, review, and start-up across two to three active trials.
• Scale: for pharmaceutical companies, Clinical Trial Units, and Academic Medical Centers standardizing governed trial design and start-up across programs, departments, and a portfolio of up to 20 active trials.

Upgrade when the operating load needs more active trials, seats, monthly AI usage, or concurrent execution. The governed Studio workflows remain available across every plan. Accelerate and Scale add AI model, prompt, and skill configuration plus Catalyst. Scale adds AI Memory Connectors.

Configure enterprise operations

Role-based access control (RBAC) is included with Accelerate and Scale. Scale adds SSO and directory sync.

• SSO (SAML/OIDC): $225 per month.
• Directory sync (SCIM): custom pricing.
• Catalyst (MCP): is available with Accelerate and Scale and does not depend on an enterprise identity connection.

Start with a free trial

Select Free Trial on the public site to create an account. After sign-up, create or open an organization, select monthly or annual billing in the authenticated plan chooser, and complete Clerk Billing checkout. A demo booking is not required.

Clerk Billing is the operational source of truth for checkout prices, billing periods, trials, included and additional seats, eligible discounts, feature grants, and subscription state. TrialStack’s public plan-catalog API projects live prices, trials, visibility, and feature grants into public pricing and initial plan activation. TrialStack resolves one base plan by its stable Clerk slug, then enforces active-trial, monthly-token, and concurrent-run capacity.

Keep the plan and seat quantity aligned

An organization can have one active Ignite, Accelerate, or Scale plan. Once a plan is active, Workspace delegates subscription management to Clerk’s native Billing drawer. Seat checkout happens only when an administrator tries to invite someone and every purchased seat is already occupied.

• Open Billing in Workspace settings to manage the current subscription, discounts, payment details, invoices, and cancellation.
• Open Users and select Invite. TrialStack sends the invitation immediately when capacity is available. When the organization is full, the same flow asks a billing manager to buy one more seat through Clerk before sending the invitation. Canceling checkout does not send the invitation.
• Active members and pending invitations both occupy seats. Seat charges follow the active subscription’s monthly or annual period, and Clerk prorates increases within that period.
• Purchased seats cannot be reduced during the current billing period. Remove members and revoke pending invitations to lower the next renewal; unused seats remain reusable until then, and Clerk never renews below the plan’s included seats.
• Base-plan changes preserve the subscription’s monthly or annual billing period, and Clerk reports when the new plan takes effect.

Clerk transitions an existing subscription instead of starting a second base-plan checkout, and TrialStack’s API rejects duplicate or overlapping transitions. TrialStack grants no product access when Clerk reports more than one current base plan. Historical Catalyst or AI-token subscription items remain recognized for safe billing reconciliation but are no longer offered for new checkout.

Read usage as an upgrade signal

Usage and billing views help administrators understand adoption, workflow concentration, and where AI-heavy or review-heavy activity may deserve closer attention. Useful signals include:

• approaching the active-trial allowance
• consistently using most of the monthly AI-token allocation
• frequently waiting for an AI run slot
• adding enough members that the next plan has better seat economics

When the included monthly AI-token allowance runs out, move to the next plan for a larger recurring allowance. Organizations already on Scale can arrange tailored capacity when 8,000,000 monthly tokens or the other Scale limits are insufficient.

Usage does not change the core product capabilities included in a base plan, establish customer-specific commercial terms, or replace the subscription state managed by Clerk Billing.

Organizations that need capacity beyond 20 active trials can arrange a tailored expansion without changing which product capabilities are available.

Add services or governed agent access

• Loop Service adds expert workflow design, workspace configuration, training, migration planning, and governed package preparation.
• Catalyst (MCP) is the governed agent interface included with Accelerate and Scale.

Loop is purchased separately. Catalyst is not required to use the complete Studio product included in every paid plan.
